This week in class we talked about Artificial Intelligence for Teaching and Learning in Education. We had a very interesting class discussion and a lot of people had a lot of different opinions which was cool to see everyone discuss. AI is becoming increasingly more popular especially in schools which is a fear for some peoples and to be honest, I couldn’t tell you my opinion on it because it has so many pros and cons. ChatGPT is very popular nowadays and is a concern in schools which I agree with because it definitely has a lot of concerns for affecting students learning. However the concept of AI is very cool and could be a very useful resource for teachers but there has to be a lot of thought with how people use AI. You could use AI or ChatGPT in numerous ways and could take a lot of pressure and work off of a teacher but again this is a concern for some people. I say teaching wise, you should keep your students away from AI for as long as you can because knowing kids they will use it once they know about it, so refraining from using it in the classroom is important until they are old enough to understand it and use it appropriately.
